First Batch Of Nigeria U17 (Golden Eaglet) Invitees Begin Screening In Abuja

The set of players who will likely be in the next Nigeria U17 team have started training under the watchful eyes of coach of the team Manu Garba, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Training commenced today with all of the coaches present and the session took place at the training pitch of the FIFA Goal Project. The players are also camped at the hostel of the the structure where most U17s are usually camped.

Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively report that the players who are undergoing the screening were picked from the national U15 team drawn from every zone of the country by the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) .

They are the first set of players to be assessed by the coaches of the team before the players scouted by the coach and his assistants are invited to slug it out for a spot in the next U17 team of Nigeria.

Their camping is expected to last for two weeks before they will be decamped, and only players who impressed will be called up for the second round of screening which will involve players officially invited by the NFF.
