Super Eagles ace John Ogu has put to bed discussions about his on the pitch role in Nigeria’s 0-1 loss to Czech Republic yesterday in a friendly game meant to prepare them for the World Cup in Russia.

Many thought the power playing midfielder was restored to his preferred central midfield role before the game but during the game proper he appeared to be playing as a left full back, and sometimes a part of the back three.

Speaking exclusively to Owngoalnigeria.com, Ogu said he played same role like he did in the game against England, where he played as a part of a back three in a 3-5-2 formation.

” Yes I played in the back three like I did against England. I’m trying as much as possible to adapt to it as I have never truly played there before but I believe I can do it. I think as a footballer, I should always be ready for such situation. I believe I can do it”, Ogu said.
