The camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria received a boost ahead of their game against Croatia with the return of central defender Leon Balogun to training following the knock he picked up few days ago.

Balogun was feared out of the game against Croatia but yesterday the newly signed Brighton and Hove Albion defender trained with the rest of the team ahead of today’s game without any discomfort.

He even took part in the practice match ‎they had among themselves with his central defence combination with William Troost-Ekong guarding the rear for the possibles.

Coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr rated the chances of the former Mainz 05 defender playing in today’s game as 50-50 ‎during his pre match conference yesterday, but that is surely not the case anymore as he has a 70-30 percent chance of starting today.

However a decision is expected to be made by 12pm when the team meet to discuss tactics and formations for the 8pm game against Croatia, which is their first at the Russia 2018 World Cup.
