The search for a new club has ended for former Nigeria U17 and Under 20 captain Musa Muhammed after his move to modest Croatian side NK Gorica on a free transfer, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Musa who has also represented Nigeria at senior level was released by Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir after three years at the club, where he failed to make the step up to the main team.
Since joining the Turkish side in 2015 as an 18 year old, the now 21 year old Musa has been farmed out on loan twice in three years with no league appearance but he played in 11 cup games in his only full season at the club.
His move to Gorica will see him hopefully build on the progress he made last season while at Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv as he made a total of 16 league appearances with a goal to his name.
Once rated as the brightest prospect for Nigeria at right back, his career has not blossomed as expected by many and his latest move to a modest team like Gorica might be the launch pad to establish himself at club level.
He has agreed a three year deal with the option of another according to details exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team and he will be presented to the media later today after his medicals.
