Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva had their Nigerian duo John Ogu and Anthony Nwakaeme in their Europa League Qualifiers with their goals helping them to a 2-2 draw against Cypriot side Apoel Nicosia.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva went behind as the 13th minute and in the 28th minute, the visitors compounded their woes with another goal before John Ogu pulled a goal back three minutes to the half time break.
Anthony Nwakaeme who was yellow carded in the 63rd minute saved the day for his team with the leveller twenty minute from full time but his team now have a mountain to climb in the return leg in Cyprus in a week time.
The goal was the second for Ogu in European competition this season after scoring in their UEFA Champions League Qualifiers loss to Ukrainian side Dinamo Zagreb before their demotion to the Europa League.
