I’m Still Open To Playing For Nigeria – Club Brugge Star Danjuma Reveals After U21 Debut For Holland

Highly rated Dutch-Nigerian ace Arnold Danjuma Groeneveld has refused to rule out playing for Nigeria at senior level despite making his international bow for the Netherlands at U21 level last night.

Danjuma as he prefers to be called after dropping his Dutch surname Groeneveld from the back of his jersey at Club Brugge, the forward left the door open over a potential switch of allegiance to Nigeria at senior level shortly after impressing for the Netherlands against England in an U-21 friendly encounter which ended 0-0.

He is expected to line up for the Dutch U21 once again when they take on Scotland in a qualifier game for the European Youth Championship but he still hasn’t ruled out the option of playing for Nigeria , although he said he is fully committed to the Netherlands for now.

” It’s clear to me, I want to get the Dutch national team, but if I did not get the chance here, I would play with love and joy for Nigeria. For now I would prefer to play got the Netherlands, but nobody knows what will happen in the future “.
