More Misery For Kenneth Omeruo At Leganes, Dropped From Squad For Barcelona Tie

On loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo won’t make his debut for La Liga side Leganes in their league game against Barcelona tomorrow, reports.

Omeruo is yet to taste a minute of competitive action since his move to the Spanish side who are bottom of the table in the league after ‎five rounds of games with just one point to their credit so far.

His absence led to talks about the defender battling for fitness but that too was dispelled when he played for Nigeria in their 3-0 win over Seychelles in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers a little over two weeks ago.

Ahead of tomorrow’s game it appears he is presently injured as he was mentioned by coach Mauricio Pellegrino among players ruled out for the game against Barcelona at their home ground Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

If he is injured as speculated by the Argentine coach of the team it could mean a battle to be fit for Nigeria’s October back to back Qualifiers game against Libya with the first game billed for Nigeria on the 12th of October.
