Azubuike Okechukwu is facing a bleak future at second placed Egyptian top division side Pyramids FC with the club set to cut loose the 21 years old alongside other expensive players on their books due to financial issues.
Pyramids FC got financial boost from Saudi General Sports Authority and it helped them splash £1.5m to sign Okechukwu from Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor a month ago, but Head of the company Turki Al-Sheikh announced their withdrawal from funding the team yesterday.
Okechukwu who is yet to make his debut since joining the club is in the list of players the club hope to release at the end of the season due to the high wage he commands, as the club can no longer honour the agreement following the withdrawal of their main financiers.
