Owngoalnigeria.com can confirmed that the trio of Jamilu Collins, Semi Ajayi and Samuel Kalu will once again make the list of players of the Super Eagles for the games against Libya in two weeks time in the race to be at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
The trio were handed a first time call up to the national team of Nigeria before the game against Seychelles with Kalu and Ajayi making their debut in the 2-0 win while Collins played in the friendly against Liberia two days later after injury ruled him out of the Seychelles tie.
They have all retained their spot in the squad but the same cannot be said of on loan Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali who has been dropped after failing to impress coach Gernot Rohr when he was called up for the first time.
Nwakali earned his invitation on the strength of his display against Atletico Madrid in a friendly game with the B team of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, a game they lost 2-3 but Nwakali scored a belter and also bossed the midfield during the game.
Rohr still has him in his plans but for the games against Libya, where Nigeria need at least a minimum of four points from the two games, Nwakali has not been considered, Owngoalnigeria.com reliably gathered.
