Onyekuru In Danger Of Dropping Out Of Super Eagles Matchday Squad For Reverse Tie Against Libya

The prospect of on loan Everton forward Henry Onyekuru dropping out of the matchday squad when Nigeria take on Libya in the reverse tie of their AFCON 2019 Qualifiers is very high according to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com.

Onyekuru who is on loan to Turkish side Galatasaray from Everton was a second half substitute in the 4-0 win over Libya on Saturday and he even laid the assist for Kalu who scored Nigeria’s final goal of the game.

His performance was lively as he twice came close to scoring but scoops gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com has it that he could be sacrificed in the matchday squad for Moses Simon who missed out of the squad for the Saturday game.

Simon will likely return back to the matchday squad with Onyekuru taking his spot in the stand as coach Gernot Rohr feels the Levante man could be more useful away from home due to his ability to defend aside his primary role as a forward.
