Why John Ogu Didn’t Play Against Libya – Gernot Rohr Reveals, Hints At Playing Him On Tuesday

The reason why Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu didn’t get to play for Nigeria on Saturday when they thrashed Libya 4-0 has been explained coach Gernot Rohr.

Ogu was left on the bench for the entire duration of the game despite Rohr making three substitutions during the course of the game and it’s not the first time he has been made to play the role of an unused substitute.

Speaking about the reason why he was left on the bench Rohr took out time to explain his substitutions in the game and why he made them. He insist that he has nothing against the Hapoel Be’er Sheva ace.

” I love John Ogu, he is one player I like a lot but we have to make one change when Shehu Abdullahi was injured and when we were winning 4-0, I had to think about recovery for the players we plan to use in the reverse tie on Tuesday “, Rohr explained.
