Nigeria youth international defender Lukman Zakari posted a fine performance in his first game for his new team FS Metta in Latvia by helping the U20s to a 2-0 win away to Lithuania oufit Jonova.
Zakari was drafted to the youth team to help him build his fitness ahead of a possible debut with the main team and the former Nigeria U17 and 20 ace didn’t disappoint with a strong performance.
He bagged an assist with a long pass which led to the opening goal for his team and his reading and interception of play during the game was top notch. Already the club has triggered the option of signing him for three years after just a week.
The Kaduna born defender was supposed to spend a month with the team before a three year contract will come to effect but just a week into his stay, the club has already started the process of getting him a residency.
Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that the soon to be 20 year old in December this year will receive his residence permit on the 25th of this month after a successful application.
