Last night English Premier League game which saw Arsenal recover from going a goal down to beat Leicester City 3-1 has sparked an explanation from Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
Ndidi was on from start to finish for Leicester City just like his national team colleague at Arsenal Alex Iwobi while Kelechi Iheanacho started for Leicester but was yanked off after the half hour mark.
Iwobi picked up the man of the match award but according to Ndidi who came close to scoring with a firm header that came off the bar little margins decided the game in favour of Arsenal.
“I would say it’s a bit disappointing in the second half, we did our bit in the first half, we did really well,” the Nigeria international told LCFC TV.
“It’s not just about looking at the first half, we need to develop the second half and go from there. It was a tight game. When we conceded the second and then the third, everything just didn’t go our way.
“If we’d have got the penalty and then the ball hadn’t hit the crossbar everything would have worked perfectly for us. We just look forward and take confidence into the next game.”
