Wilfred Ndidi Rescues Leicester City From Defeat With Late Goal Against West Ham United

An 89th minute goal from Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi helped Leicester City rescue a point against ten man West Ham United as it helped them to a 1-1 draw in the English Premier League.

West Ham were reduced to ten men following the sending off of Mark Noble, eight minutes after Fabian Balbuena gave them the lead but they hanged on to go into the half time break leading their host.

Leicester City looked destined for defeat before Ndidi conjure up an equaliser from a ball from Demarai Gray to help them steal a point from the game much to the disappointment of the hard fighting West Ham United.

The goal was the first for the Nigerian this season in the English Premier League and it also doubles as his first league goal since his last goal on the 6th of May in 2017 in Leicester’s 3-0 win over Watford.

Last season his only goal came in the Carabao 5-1 win over Peterborough United although his season ended prematurely after he picked up an injury towards the end of the season.
