Owngoalnigeria.com had a chat with former Barcelona teen prospect Godswill Elohor Ekpolor who now ply his trade for top division Swedish side BK Hacken where he has cemented his spot as first choice right full back.
So far he has played in 13 games this season, his highest tally since making 27 appearances for the B team of Barcelona in the second division since the 2015/2016 season, a season before his departure from the Camp Nou.
Once viewed as the heir to Dani Alves in the right back spot at Barcelona, he has since living Barcelona endured unhappy spells at English League One side Fleetwood Town and Spanish second division side Merida.
However he has found his feet in Sweden with BK Hacken and showing the potential that saw him rise to the role of captain of the Barcelona B team. Elohor who is also eligible for Spain also confirmed his readiness to play for Nigeria if called upon by coach Gernot Rohr.
OGN – Will you say you’re back to your best ?
Elohor – I have always be in my best, even when I was in Barcelona and in England.
I always give everything in all the club’s I have been to.
OGN – What’s the secret to your new found form in Sweden?
Elohor– I don’t have any secret, I always work hard and I leave the rest for God
OGN – Are you still open to the idea of representing Nigeria after the disappointment of missing out on the squad to Rio?
Elohor – Yes, I am open to representanting Nigeria at anytime they give me a call and I was not disappointed for not going to Rio. It was not meant to be and also we had a very strong squad at that moment because ending in third position talks for itself .
OGN– Do you watch the Super Eagles games ? If yes will you say you can push for a spot in the team ?
Elohor – Yes, I always watch the Super Eagles games. Yes, of course I can push for a spot.
OGN – Which role is your favorite. Considering you have played as Left back, Right Back and also as a wing forward?
Elohor – My favorite role is Right Back but anywhere they put me I will always give my best.
OGN – What’s your best memory of your time at Barcelona?
Elohor – I have a lots of best memory but if I need to pick one, is when we won the UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE.

Elohor – A lot of them but let me list some.
