Newly invited Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Samuel Chukwueze confirmed his high rating by scoring for the first team in their amazing 3-3 draw against Almeria in the Copa Del Rey.
Chukwueze started on the right side of attack and he showed his creative side with his ability to drift pass his markers with ease unsettling the back line of Almeria during the early exchanges.
Almeria took a shock lead totally against the run of play but former Arsenal ace Santi Cazorla started a comeback for the Yellow Submarines with the leveller before Chukwueze completed it with the third goal seven minutes from full time.
Home side Almeria refused to give up and they were rewarded for their persistence with two goals in the final four minutes of regulation time to level scores to 3-3 ahead of the return leg to be hosted by Villarreal.
For Chukwueze the goal was his first at senior level for the team he joined a little over a year ago starting up from the U18s to the first team in less than a year at the club, a rise which has earned him a fresh deal at the club.
He was handed his first call up to the senior national team of Nigeria by coach Gernot Rohr for the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie against South Africa and the friendly game against Uganda later this month.
