Uzoho Concedes Five Goals As Elche Slump To Heavy Defeat Against Cadiz

The clean sheet run of the first choice goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria Francis Uzoho at Elche came to an end against Cadiz in a 1-5 loss to Cadiz in a second division game in Spain.

Prior to today’s game Uzoho has kept clean sheets in his firs two starts for Elche in the league but a disastrous second half spell which saw him concede four goals in 12 minutes soiled his day as Cadiz ran riot.

Although he doesn’t look culpable for three of the goals and also the one from the spot, he could however have done better for the fifth goal conceded by his side in the heavy loss.

Uzoho has worked his way to the role of first choice goalkeeper after playing second fiddle for a while and many still expect him to keep his spot despite conceding five goals today.

Signed on a season long loan deal from Deportivo La Coruna, he is expected to man goal for Nigeria when they take on South Africa in their penultimate AFCON 2019 Qualifiers game before playing Uganda two days later in a friendly game.
