The proposed switch of allegiance of two of England youth international to Nigeria is solely in the hands of coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr according to a chieftain of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) .
The duo of Seyi Ojo and Ademola Lookman are firmly in the sight of Nigeria to play for the Super Eagles with Lookman according to various reports now open to the idea of representing Nigeria while Ojo voiced out his availability for Nigeria if called up.
Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has been busy luring players eligible for Nigeria representing other countries to play for the West African nation and although the duo of Ojo and Lookman are in his plans, no formal approach appears to have been made yet.
” Rohr decides the players he want in his team. Sometimes he speak directly to them while he reaches out to the NFF if he need extra help. However for the players (Ojo, Lookman) he is yet to give us the green light on his plans”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” We are on alert as soon as he request for us to begin the process of their international switch we will commence it without wasting time. For now we can’t start filing documents without his consent”, he concluded.
