Watford forward Isaac Success says he is fully charged to win the race to lead the attack of the Super Eagles against South Africa in the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers tie next weekend.
Success is hugely favoured to lead the line in the absence of top striker Odion Ighalo who is injured but the duo of Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho are also eyeing same spot.
Iheanacho has played in the role in the past with his recent showing as top striker coming during the World Cup 2018 in Russia while Osimhen auditioned for same role in the first clash against South Africa which Nigeria lost 0-2 in Uyo.
Despite their undoubted ability, Success said he is in top shape and hopefully will get the nod to start as he hopes to give his best in training ahead of the clash in Johannesburg.
” No point doubting the abilities of the options available to the coach and it’s nice for the team as a whole. However my aim is to impress during trainings and hopefully get the nod to start against South Africa “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” My form is there for all to see and for a while I don’t think I have been this fit. My aim is to prove my worth at international level and the South Africa game is next in line”, he concluded.
