The Super Eagles of Nigeria had their second training session yesterday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba ahead of their game against South Africa on Saturday in Johannesburg.
Coach Gernot Rohr drilled his wards behind close doors but in our usual style Owngoalnigeria.com has obtained exclusive details of how the session went with Rohr splitting them into two teams for a training match.
One of the teams had players who are largely expected to start against South Africa while the other team had players who are on the fringes and also those in the team for the first team.
Former Nigeria U17 duo of Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze rolled back their days together with the Nigeria U17 team at the World Youth Championship as their combination in attack for the B team proved too much for the defence of the A team.
Osimhen was full of energy, strength and pace while Chukwueze used his skills and penetration power to good effect and it played a role in their team winning the practice game 2-1 with Osimhen scoring one of the goals while Chukwueze created both goals.
