Recently capped Nigeria senior international player Samuel Chukwueze showed his goal scoring instinct once again by scoring for his La Liga side Villarreal as they ease their relegation worries with a 2-1 win over Real Betis.
Chukwueze was once again played from the start and in what was a lively first half display by the Nigerian, he operated from the right side of attack and caused Zouhair Feddal all sort of troubles with his amazing abilities.
Two minutes after Gerard Moreno gave Villarreal the lead in the 52nd minute, Chukwueze finished off a move from a Santi Cazorla back heel to further pull his team away from Betis.
His quick feet helped him steady himself for a curler before his low effort hit the net leaving Pau Lopez in goal for Real Betis helpless with what was his second goal in as many games consecutively.
The win lifted Villarreal to 16th on the log, one point more than Leganes after 13 rounds of games in the Spanish La Liga, where the concerns of the Yellow Submarines is to escape the drop zone.
