Dutch-Nigerian Benfica right full back Tyronne Ebuehi says his decision to shun a chance with the Dutch national team for the Super Eagles of Nigeria has improved his game a whole lot.
Ebuehi pledged his allegiance to Nigeria following his breakthrough season at Dutch side ADO Den Haag two seasons ago and he represented Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia.
Presently out injured, the 22 year old said the introduction to a different style of play and physical demand of African football helped a certain area of his game and it might not have been possible if he didn’t play for Nigeria.
” I’m very happy with my decision to play for Nigeria. A new demand of African football especially the physical aspect has helped my game a lot. The World Cup was a fantastic experience for me and it made my family really proud and happy “, he concluded.
