Bravo as Aliyu is called by close friends and associates was dropped alongside four other players from the Nigeria U17 team that won the WAFU U17 Championship due to the competition rule on age restriction.

The rule states clearly that players under the age of 17 are not eligible to take part in the tournament and sadly Bravo falls into that category alongside four other players who are still part of the Nigeria U17 team.

” Bravo and four players from the U17 team were named in our provisional list but the rule of the tournament made us to drop them. That of Bravo is particularly painful considering how the MRI Scan made him miss out on a chance to shine with the U17s few months ago “, a team official told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” No doubt Bravo will be with us after the tournament and we’ll see if he will make the squad to the U20 Africa Cup of Nations next year. We all like him a lot. He has to be patient for now”, he remarked.
