Revealed – Nigeria U20 Squad For WAFU Championship ; Aigbogun Picks Ten NPFL Players, Nine From Academies , One From NNL


The list of players pick by coach Paul Aigbogun to represent Nigeria at the WAFU U20 Championship which will take place in Togo has been exclusively obtained by editorial team.


Aigbogun settled for ten players from clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL) with nine others from the various youth academies scattered around Nigeria complementing the one player picked from the Nigeria National League in the 20 man list for the tournament which starts tomorrow.

Already the team are in Lome, the capital of Togo ahead of their first group B game against Benin Republic. The other teams in their group are Niger Republic and arch rivals Ghana.

The aim of the tournament is to help the teams prepare for their engagements in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations which will take place in Niger Republic next year.
