Philip Azango is set to leave Gent on loan in January after failing to break into the main team since his move from Slovakia side AS Trencin in the summer, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Azango has played just once for the first team of Gent in the league and that came on the 16th of September, he last played for the first team in a Cup game which they won 4-2 against Excelsior Virton.
Since then he was demoted to the B team and yesterday he was on target in a Youth League game which Gent won 3-1 against Standard Liege. The fourth consecutive game he is playing for them.
Gent believe a loan deal to another club where he is guarantee to get games will be very pivotal to his development at the club, hence the decision to loan him out when the transfer window opens in January.
At the same club Anderson Esiti who was once upon a time frozen out of the first team set up and almost joined Spanish side Levante has reclaim his position in the team as he has been ever present in their last six games in all competitions.
