Standard Liege midfielder Uche Agbo and HNK Gorica full back Musa Muhammed are currently under consideration for a recall to the senior national team of Nigeria for the game against Seychelles.
The game will be the Super Eagles final qualifying match for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and coach Gernot Rohr plan to call up some players who are currently out of favour with the team due to the fact the qualification has been secured after the 1-1 draw against South Africa.
Rohr will use the game as his first test game ahead of the AFCON hence the need to see some players he hasn’t called up in a while notably Uche Agbo and Musa Muhammed who made the standby list for the last round of games.
Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that unless a tragic loss of form happens to Muhammed between now and March next year when the game will be played, he will no doubt make the squad for the game as reward for his regular game time in Croatia where he has played 14 games this season.
Agbo has also impressed at Standard Liege this season but he isn’t sure to be in the squad due to the options available to Rohr in midfield with former vice captain Ogenyi Onazi expected to make a return to the team for the Seychelles game.
