Nura Abdullahi Stars In Novelty Match, Clears The Air On His Future At AS Roma

Highly rated AS Roma right full back Nura Abdullahi has explained his contractual situation at the Serie A side following rumours that he has been cut loose by the team, reports.

Nura signed a fresh five year deal at the club last season before heading on loan to Serie B side Perugia but a health scare brought his loan deal to a premature end at a time when he was making inroads into the team.

The health issue has to do with his heart condition which required minor surgery three years ago and subsequently cost him what would have been a dream career move to Barcelona.

Reports in Italy suggest he has been laid off by the Serie A side but the 20 years old has now laid the reports to rest by insisting that he is still a player of Roma and was only granted extended leave from football.

” I was allowed to rest for six months but am back now. My next career move will be made public soon. It’s a pity that some people said I’m no longer at Roma”, he said after starring in a novelty game played in Kaduna, where he is back training following the mid season break.
