Sadiq Umar Explains Why He Won’t Be Returning To NAC Breda, Studying 11 Loan Offers


The top scorer for Nigeria at Rio 2016 Olympics Sadiq Umar says he is currently as many as 11 options from teams around Europe who are keen to have him on loan for the rest of the season.


After an unhappy spell in Scotland with Rangers he is back at Roma ahead of another loan move to further aid his development but NAC Breda won’t be his destination, can exclusively reveal.

Speaking to upon his arrival in Kaduna for the New Year break, the lanky forward explained why he won’t be going back to the Dutch side where he is largely viewed as the player who rescued them from relegation last season.

” I am aware NAC Breda want me to return but am sorry I won’t be going there. The fans and management are nice people, I however don’t think it’s proper for me to go back there because I’ve proven myself there already. A new challenge is next and am studying as many as 11 offers”, he told

Although Serie B side Perugia are rumoured as the favorite for his signature, Sadiq said a decision will be made soon on his next destination without denying the interest of the Italian side.

” My next destination will be made public in few days time. I really will love to play in Italy for obvious reasons but we’ll see if it will come through in few days time”, he concluded.
