FS Metta of Latvia defender Lukman Zakari could depart the club without a competitive game following the trial chance afforded to him by African champions Esperance of Tunisia, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Zakari joined Metta two months ago but problems of registration denied him his debut with the modest side before the end of last season, where his team narrowly beat the drop.
Three days ago he arrived Tunisia after an invitation to have trials with Esperance and the club will begin to run the rule on him starting from tomorrow morning.
A winner of the U17 World Youth Championship with Nigeria in 2015, the 20 year old penned a pre contract with another Tunisian side Sfaxien in 2016 but the transfer ban slammed on the club by FIFA denied him the chance to move to the club when he turned 18.
Still rated as one of the most technically gifted young defender in Nigeria, he gained the recognition of FIFA after committing just one foul despite playing in all of Nigeria’s game in the run up to lifting the World Youth Championship trophy, three years ago.
