Coach of the Nigeria U20 team Paul Aigbogun is expected back in Nigeria later today to commence preparations ahead of their campaign at the upcoming Africa U20 Cup of Nations, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Aigbogun spent the Christmas and New Year break in London with his family after Nigeria’s engagements at the recently concluded WAFU U20 Championship where they lost in the final to Senegal by two goals to nothing.
The coach has outlined areas in the team that requires strengthening and he will most likely include players in the positions he want more options before the start of the championship.
Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that the coach is searching for more options at left back as he is not entirely satisfied with the performance of team captain Ikouwem Udoh during the recently concluded WAFU U20 Championship.
The coach is also beaming his searchlight on central defenders, an area where the team currently lack enough options and just like the left full back positions new players will be called up to beef the area up.
