Awoniyi’s Loan Terminated By Liverpool, Dropped From Gent Winter Camp In Spain

Taiwo Awoniyi loan deal at Belgium side Gent has been brought to a premature end by his parent owners ‎Liverpool following his failure to get regular run of games at the club.

Awoniyi has so far played in 16 games for Gent, a tally which is really high considering the amount of games played so far but he has failed to settle down properly at the club with no goal to his name so far.

The scorer of ten goals for his loan side Mouscron last season is now widely expected to join a team in Turkey, where he was heavily courted before deciding on a move to Belgium.

21 year old Awoniyi was subsequently dropped from the squad of Gent who are now in Spain for a winter training camp ahead of the start of the second stanza of the league in Belgium.

Following his contract extension at Liverpool, the lanky forward will now return back to the Merseyside outfit before his planned move to Turkey before the end of the current transfer window.
