Samuel Kalu Nets Winner To Fire Bordeaux To Next Round Of French League Cup

Super Eagles forward Samuel Kalu played the role of match winner for his French side Bordeaux as he scored the lone goal in their 1-0 win over Le Havre in the French League Cup.

Kalu was once again handed a start in attack and the number ten was booked for foul play in the 45th minute for dangerous play as his team struggle to break down a resolute Le Havre side.

The Nigerian ended up as the hero for his side in the 70th minute when he netted what ended up as the only goal of the game and also the winner for his side to send them through to the next round of the tournament.

21 year old Kalu now has three goals for Bordeaux in all competitions this season with his other goals coming in the Ligue 1 where he has played a total of 13 games in his debut season following his move from Gent in the summer.
