The exploits of Super Eagles attacking duo of Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen is a source of joy to the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Osimhen has found his feet this season in Belgium where he is on loan to Charleroi with nine goal to his name in the first stanza of the league in Belgium. His feat has already earned him two player of the month award.
On his part Chukwueze is enjoying his breakthrough season at Villarreal and his performance has no doubt been one of the bright spot of what has been a not too impressive campaign for the Yellow Submarines.
Rohr who has already handed senior national team debut to the duo and he is hoping they sustain their form till the end of the season, when the Super Eagles will beging preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
” Having young players doing well is a plus as it will give us the chance to mix them with the senior and experienced players in our team. Osimhen and Chukwueze are doing very well, we are not afraid of calling more young players as long as they are doing well for their clubs”, the coach told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat.
