Flying Eagles Fail To Breakdown Resolute Niger Tornadoes In Second Test Game Ahead AFCON 2019

Ahead of their campaign at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations the Nigeria U20 team played a 1-1 draw against Nigeria Professional Football League side Niger Tornadoes in Abuja.

The boys of Paul Aigbogun defeated another NNL side in Plateau United thanks to a goal from former Nigeria U17 striker Aliyu Ibrahim popularly known as Aliyu Bravo.

Tornadoes posed a better threat to the Nigerian team and they deservedly got a draw with the Nigerian team relying on a goal from Enyimba FC striker Wasiu Alalade who was rested for the game against Plateau United.

From the team that played against Plateau United two days back only two players played against Niger Tornadoes as coach Aigbogun continue to run the rule on the players in camp ahead of the naming of his provisional squad on Monday.

Bravo and Rosenborg defender Igho Ogbu were the only players who played against Tornadoes who were also fielded against Plateau United, a sign of how desperate the coach is when it comes to beefing up his team in defence and attack.
