Esperance of Tunisia new signing Junior Lokosa would have been subjected to some sort of trials before the signing of his two and half year deal with the African champions if not for the intervention of coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr.
Lokosa was presented to the fans of the club two days back but their initial plan was to see him in training for some days before deciding on signing him but a recommendation from Rohr changed it all.
Rohr was called by the coach of Esperance Mouine Chaabani and the Franco-German coach who named Lokosa in his preliminary World Cup squad gave positive remarks about the 24 year old.
One of the assistants of Rohr Nabil Trabelsi who hails from Tunisia also spoke positively on the need for Esperance to sign Lokosa without trials, further convincing them to go ahead with the deal.
Later today, Lokosa will have his first training session with the team following the issuance of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) before the close of the transfer window in Tunisia yesterday.
