Nigeria international forward Moses Simon has revealed the reason behind his impressive performance for Levante last weekend in their 1-2 loss to Real Madrid.
The former Gent ace who was signed in the summer operated from a right wing-back role for the second straight game and just like the game against Celta Vigo he was on for the entire duration of the game.
He was rated among the best players on the pitch for his team who were unlucky to lose the game due to two penalty decision which went against them , no thanks to the use of the Video Assistant Referee ( VAR).
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, the 24 year old said aside from the need to be at your best against a big team like Real Madrid, the game was the first time his daughter will watch him play live alongside his wife and close pals Kingsley Madu and Moses Adams.
They were all in the stand for the game and Simon said he had to put up a show to make them proud before crediting his teammates who were also very supportive during the course of the game.
” My family came in from Belgium to watch the game. My daughter was watching me for the first time. Also my very close friend, he can easily pass as my brother Kingsley Madu was also in the stand with former Nigeria U20 midfielder Moses Adams .
