Former Nigeria U23 top scorer Sadiq Umar had an eventful game for Perugia in their 3-1 win over Salernitana in the Italian Serie B by scoring his second goal in as many games before picking up the first red card of his career.
Fresh from scoring his first goal for the team he joined in January after terminating his loan deal with Scottish side Rangers, Sadiq who is contractually a player of Serie A side Roma finished with style for his second league goal after his maiden strike against Venezia on Wednesday.
Sadiq was first to a through pass from Vlad Dragomir and without breaking his stride he lashed home an unstoppable drive which flew past the goalkeeper on the post he was guarding to put his team two goals up.
His day was brought to a premature end after he was booked twice in quick succession, hence a red card leaving his team with ten men for the rest of the game. They however scored another to cancel out Salernitana lone goal to edge the tie 3-1.
The other Nigerian at the club Kingsley Michael who is on loan from Bologna marked his return from injury by appearing as a substitute in the 90th minute of the win which saw them move from 8th to 7th on the log.
