Nigeria rounded up their campaign in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers with a 3-1 win over Seychelles in Asaba, Delta state, Nigeria.
Odion Ighalo put Nigeria ahead via the spot midway into the game but goalkeeper Francis Uzoho gifted the visitors a way back into the game by fumbling a simple cross which dropped kindly for a well positioned Seychelles forward to pounce and level scores.
Henry Onyekuru restored Nigeria’s lead with a header from a cross from Jamilu Collins before substitute Moses Simon put Nigeria two goals clear with a smart finish inside the box.
The win means Nigeria ended the qualifiers as group winners losing just a game but back to back win against Libya and a double over Seychelles mean the loss and win picked up respectively against South Africa count for less.
