The coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has sent the first choice goalkeeper of the Super Eagles Francis Uzoho and three others to the U23 team, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Uzoho whose error led to the only goal scored by Seychelles in the Super Eagles 3-1 win few hours ago in their final AFCON 2019 Qualifiers game will play in goal for the U23 with first choice goalkeeper Abubakar Adamu suspended following his red card in the first leg.
As first reported by this portal, the trio of Valentine Ozornwafor, Victor Osimhen and Chidozie Awaziem have been sent to the U23s ahead of the return leg of their U23 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Libya.
Henry Onyekuru who was also recommended to aid the U23s in their quest to overturn the 0-2 deficit they suffered against Libya will stay with the Super Eagles as the coach of the U23s Imama Amapakabo has enough in attack.
The quartet have been informed of the development and they will depart the camp of the team by tomorrow to team up with the team ahead of the game which will be played on Monday in Asaba.
