A chance to earn a yearly salary of over €300,000 has been rejected by Malmo of Sweden Nigerian midfielder Innocent Bonke, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Kazakhstan outfit Kairat tabled an offer of €300,000 to the representatives of the defensive midfielder but after due consideration he turned it down to continue with the Swedish side.
Kairat were even willing to pay him a sign on fee of close of around €500,000 but the 24 year old believe going to Kazakhstan will kill his chances of forcing his way into the senior national team of Nigeria.
Already he has been pencilled down for extensive scouting by coach of the team Gernot Rohr and he is focused on having a better season that last time out when the league resumes in Sweden.
” We received an offer of over €300,000 from Kairat with the option of a sign on fee of €500,000 but Bonke rejected it. This is not the best time to leave mainstream Europe due to his desire to force his way into the Super Eagles. The focus is to have a better season than last time out”, his intermediary told Owngoalnigeria.com.
