Coach Imama Amapakabo of the Nigeria U23 is proud of the display of his players in the 4-0 win against Libya which sealed their spot in the next round of the qualifiers for the Africa U23 Cup of Nations on a 4-2 aggregate win.

Imama who made six changes ‎to the team that lost the first game 0-2 in Tunisia on Wednesday said his team dominated the game because they know the strength and weakness of the Libyan team after the first leg.

” Before the first game against Libya in Tunisia, I’ve little knowledge about them aside from the fact that they play the 3-5-2 formation. So that made it a bit tough for us to get a good result in Tunisia.

” I watched the game which we lost 0-2 severally and saw some lapses and individuals that we can capitalize on to score and that worked for us. I must also commend my players for playing to instructions. We could have scored more but we are happy with the 4-0 scoreline “, the coach said at the post match conference.
