David Okereke will no doubt quit Serie B side Spezia at the end of the season for the Italian Serie A and not to any club in another league or country according to his intermediary, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Okereke who scored the fourth goal for Nigeria U23 in their 4-0 win over Sudan and subsequently trained and made the bench of the senior national team of Nigeria for the friendly game against Egypt has emerged as the prime target of several teams in Europe.
The 21 year old increased his goal count for the season to nine last weekend and also his assist tally now stands at ten for the season, meaning he has had a hand in 19 goals this season from 27 games.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, his intermediary confirmed he has received offers from teams around Europe but the idea of leaving Italy is not one he is interested in for the main time.
” There are offers for David but the idea is to remain in Italy where teams in the top division are interested in him. At the end of the season we will make a decision but all of this will change if Spezia makes it to the top division. He will no doubt remain with them”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
