Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem is in line for a permanent move away from Portuguese side FC Porto when his loan spell with Turkish side Rizespor comes to an end in the summer, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Awaziem has emerged as one of the promising defenders in Turkey this season following his loan move to Rizespor who were at a point struggling in the lower rung of the table before the loan signing of the 22 year old Nigerian in January.
Since his signing he has been ever present for the team and they have moved from battling the drop to pushing for a spot in next season Europa League with Awaziem playing a starring role.
His form has interest French Ligue 1 side Lyon who according to reports have already contacted the camp of the Nigeria international but a formal offer is yet to be tabled.
Werder Bremen according to reports gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team are also monitoring his situation and a bid in the region of €9m is being mooted as what they are planning on offering for his services.
With a year to run on his deal after this summer, Porto are open to the idea of selling him to recoup their investment in him after signing him from Nigeria to their B team four years ago.
