Pictures went viral of a blonde kid in the German camp of the Nigeria U20 team who are in camp ahead of the World Youth Championship in Poland with many people asking about his identity.
Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that he is the son of ex Nigeria international Emeka Ezeala who is now an agent and brokered the deal that took the Nigerian team to the training camp in Germany.
His name Ikenna Malcom Ezeala who recently joined the U19 team of 4th division German side Memmingen from the U17 team of Ingolstadt and also played for Augsburg Juniors three years ago.
Born in Austria to a Nigerian father and an Austrian mother he is a left winger who can also play as a left full back and predominantly plays with his left foot.
He started his carrer in 2014 with Bayern Munich but left same season for Austrian side Ismaning juniors and two years later played for the U16 team of Austria in six games scoring once.
As at the time of filing in this report, he is still in the camp of the team but officials told Owngoalnigeria.com that the 17 year old is viewed as a player for the future and not for the immediate U20 World Youth Championship.
