The Flying Eagles of Nigeria are perfecting the formation they will play at the U20 World Youth Championship when the tournament gets underway next weekend, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Coach Paul Aigbogun has settled for some players in certain roles on the pitch particularly in midfield where he is spoilt for choice with the likes of Nnamdi Ofoborh,Muhammed Zulkifilu, Jamil Muhammed, Peter Eletu, Kingsley Michael and Tom Dele-Bashiru.
Aigbogun appears to have settled down for the trio of Ofoborh, Kingsley and Dele-Bashiru with Ofoborh playing as the deepest of the trio while Kingsley will operate high up the pitch.
Already the trio have been the preferred option in training and following the cancellation of their final test game, the coach set up the players in a training match and the aforementioned trio were by far the best on the pitch.
In attack, it looks more like a straight battle between Jerome Akor and Henry Offia as the coaches have alternated them in training while the duo of Tijani Muhammed and Emeka Chinonso are battling for the role of who will be third choice.
