Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr will watch the Nigeria U20 team in Poland when they begin their campaign at the World Youth Championship, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.
Rohr visited the team at their training camp in Germany before their departure to Poland yesterday and during the visit confirmed he will be in Poland to watch them play.
The coach is particular about options in midfield where the Anglo-Nigerian duo of Tom Dele-Bashiru and Nnamdi Ofoborh will operate alongside on loan Bologna midfielder Kingsley Michael.
A creative midfielder is what Rohr believes the Super Eagles need after the Africa Cup of Nations and after inviting the impressive Valentine Ozornwafor to the Super Eagles on account of his exploits at the U20 Cup of Nations, Ofoborh or Dele-Bashiru could get a call up to the Eagles shortly if they impress at the WYC.
Michael is already a part of the U23 team where he plays as a back up to the midfield duo of Kelechi Nwakali and Azubuike Okechukwu ‎during the last round of qualifiers for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations against Libya which Nigeria won 4-2 on aggregate.
