For the second consecutive week former Nigeria youth international Lukman Zakari made the team of the week in Latvia after scoring a brace for Metta to help them to a 2-2 draw against Rigas FS during the last round of games in the league.
His brace include a stupendous backhell deep in stoppage time to rescue a point for his side after seeing his opener cancelled by the vistors who were heading for a 2-1 win before he struck in time added on.
That performance has not gone unnoticed as he was once again picked in the team of the week for the recently concluded round of games, same feat he was honored with last weekend when he helped his team to a shock 2-1 win over league giants Ventspills.
Zakari is presently on the radar of several teams in Europe with Metta keen on doing a deal for the defender who was a part of the Nigeria U17 team that won the World Youth Championship in 2015.
His performances have no doubt put him in the frame for a call up to the Nigeria U23 team ahead of their next qualifiers against Sudan in the race to qualify for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
