Super Eagles left full back Jamilu Collins says he is still in dreamland over the promotion of his team Paderborn to the German Bundesliga after yesterday round of games.
Collins joined Paderborn three years ago while they were in the third division after having his contract terminated by Croatian side Istra following his release by HNK Rijeka, his first professional team.
The Abuja Football Academy graduate played a pivotal role in lifting Paderborn to the second division at the start of this season and he was ever present in their successful push for promotion to the Bundesliga.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, the 24 year old said he couldn’t dream of such when he joined the team considering the fact that he was without a club before his move to the club.
” Two years ago it was like my career was at a halt but I never stopped believing in myself. Today I’m a senior international for Nigeria with the hope of playing at the Africa Cup of Nations and also playing in the Bundesliga next season.
