Coach Paul Aigbogun of the Nigeria U20 team has settled for the players he will use in his team final group game against Ukraine later this evening at the ongoing Poland 2019 World Youth Championship.
Aigbogun lined up his players in a 4-3-3 formation with five new players coming into the starting lineup from the team that played against USA in the second group game which they lost 0-2.
In defence, if Valentine Ozornwafor who trained separately yesterday fail to pass a late fitness test his spot in the lineup will be taken by Igho Ogbu with Aliu Salawudeen playing as his pair.
Jamil Mohammed won’t play any part in the tournament anymore after the injury he picked up against USA and for today’s game Nnamdi Ofoborh will start in his place as the defensive midfielder.
Tom Dele-Bashiru drops to the bench after his first half substitution in the last game with his replacement Aniekeme Okon taking his place in the starting XI.
In attack Success Makanjuola will have his first start in the tournament in place of Henry Offia who drops to the bench, Tijjani Mohammed will start in place of Jerome Akor who failed to impress in the last game.
Maxwell Effiom keeps his spot in the team in the game where Nigeria need at least a draw to be sure of progression from their group, although even a loss can still seal their spot in the round of 16 as one of the third best placed teams.
