Belgium top division side Charleroi have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen on a five year deal for the sum of £3.5m from German side Wolfsburg , Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Osimhen scored 20 goals in all competitions for Charleroi last season following his loan signing from Wolfsburg and the club have now activated the option of signing him permanently as contained in the loan deal.
Wolfsburg are however due 20% from his future sale with Lille, Southampton and AC Milan jostling to sign the 20 year old for a fee in the region of £30m.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that the option of returning back to Wolfsburg was presented to the forward but he turned it down, no thanks to the unhappy 18 months he spent with the club following his signing two years ago.
The former U17 World Youth Championship top scorer has also agreed a salary that makes him the highest earning player in the team despite the fact that he could leave the club in the next few months.
